MYSTERIES OF THE WORLD.....

Con los alumnos del grupo Niños Elemental estuvimos trabajando con vocabulario relacionado al espacio, astronautas, etc. Luego nos pusimos a trabajar con respecto al Sistema Solar, y como nos llamó mucho la atención, decidimos averiguar sobre alguno de los grandes misterios de la humanidad.....

Case: the Nazca Lines

Geographical location: the Peruvian desert

Summary: They were built about 3000 years ago by an ancient civilization of Nazca Indians. Some lines are straight and geometrically advanced; some other look like animals. The lines can't be observed from the land.

Explanation: 

- They were the runaways of an airport for UFOs

- They were a dancing pattern for Nazca Indians dances.

Case: Atlantis, the lost world

Geographical location : in the Atlantic Ocean 

Summary: Atlantis is a magical island. It's a big and beautiful island. It's a legendary island which disappeared. Its location is in the South on the Atlantic Ocean. It was inhabited by an advanced civilization.

Explanation: 

- It went under the ocean waves in one day and one night.

- a Greek archaeologist theorized that around 1500 BC a volcano eruption eliminated most of the civilization on the Greek islands and sank Atlantis.

- a British  Royal Air Force photo interpreter is convinced Atlantis is in Altiplano, near the Andes Mountains, in Bolivia.

- Cayce believed the remains are near the cost of Florida.

- Other people think Atlantis is in Central America, the China sea or Africa.

- Some others believe Atlantis is only a myth.

Case: The Egyptian Pyramids
Geographical Location: Egypt
Summary: They were built in 2000 B.C. by the slaves. The Egyptians loved a lot of gods and the pharaon was the most important God. The Pyramids were the pharaon's tombs. Kaeops is the largest one (146 mts high)
Explanation: Some people say that huge stones were carved with cooper chisels from stone quarries; and these blocks were then dragged and lifted into position.
- Other people say the pyramids were built out of cement.
